To The People of God at St. Luke’s, Katonah:

The images of the flooding in Kentucky are heartbreaking.  People need our help!  What to do?  Send a generous sacrificial donation to one of the relief organizations doing relief work on the ground.  Two of my favorite and trusted organizations are Episcopal Relief & Development. (www.episcopalrelief.org) and World Central Kitchen (WCK.org).  Your help is needed!

Peace,

Fr. Patrick

Office will be closed next week.  Nancy’s on vacation.  Messages will be monitored.  Call Fr. Patrick if needed.  (410-937-1326)

USHER'S BREAKFAST: SEPTEMBER 10TH - Calling all Ushers, and anyone who would like to be an Usher. Saint Luke's will host an Ushers' Breakfast on Saturday, September  10th.  We will gather at 8AM in the church for a brief service with communion. Afterwards, we will move to the Parish House for a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, bagels, cream cheese, jam and coffee. The role of Usher is increasingly important in current times. Father Patrick will talk about the importance of "Welcoming" and what it means to be a Welcoming Congregation. and the role of the Usher.

Thanks,

Bob
